Å iauliai is the fourth-largest city in Lithuania, located in the northern part of the country. It is an important cultural, industrial, and educational hub.

I took an early morning bus from the Riga bus station and travelled to Siauliai. From the bus station, I took a round trip cab costing me 15 Euros to travel to the Hill of Crosses.

The Hill of Crosses is one of the most famous landmarks near Å iauliai is the Hill of Crosses, a site of pilgrimage for many people worldwide. The hill is covered with thousands of crosses, symbolizing Lithuanian religious and national identity. The Hill of Crosses was a symbol of resistance during Soviet times.
